new car wanted

Q.I am looking for a new car or a newish car...I am looking to spend no more than $10k and want it to be standard with at least a/c...the car must be fuel economical and be virtually mainenance free... If anyone has any information or suggestions I would like it if you could share it...

A.I very much doubt you'll find a brand new car with air conditioning for under CAD10k (since you're posting from an account in Canada, I take it your figure is in CAD). Try Suzuki, Geo, Ford, and Hyundai dealerships and see if you can find anything that meets your price objective. '95 cars are pretty rare on dealership lots these days, but if you _do_ find something you like, you ought to be able to get a really good deal. You also mentioned "newish" ... you should be able to find some small used cars, a couple of years old, which fit the price range. I saw the results of a reader satisfaction survey in the paper a couple of days ago, and I believe the Toyota Tercel, Honda Civic, and Mazda Protege were all in the top ten and would probably be reasonably affordable used cars. They should also provide good fuel economy and reliability.
