Canadian New Car Dealers causing prices to rise to USA levels
Q.Now all we have to look forward to are still higher new car prices, followed closely by higher used car prices. I see 1990 Accords listed for 10 grand, just how long are these cars going to keep going when they're that old when you buy them. I know they are good cars, but will they last another 5 years ?
A.This is nuts. Couple years back I saw an 8 years old Accord with over 200K KMs on it going for $8000 in a dealership. Used car prices are insane in Canada, maybe because most people can't afford to buy new cars. Compare with the US, I have a friend who sold a Corolla and a De Sol at half the original price after 4 years.
