Best Place To Buy Used Car

Q.I'm about to be in the market for a new Tundra and just looking for someplace where I can find a good deal without getting dicked around all day any ideas?

A.Yep, prepare for battle. Local Toyota dealers are by and large thieves and lying dirtbags. Ok, so much for the sugar coating it:) Granted my current car, a 2005 Prius, was purchased during the time when they were not readily available in Texas (I ended up purchasing out of state via the net), but I did have the opportunity to shop a number of the local dealers. Toyota of Dallas is the WORST auto dealership I have ever set foot in. Avoid at all costs. Toyota of Plano was pleasant enough, but forget about a competitive price from them. Same with Lewisville. I was very impressed with Durant Toyota in Weatherford. I was working with them via the phone and they were very pleasant, professional and competitive. They were one of the few Toyota dealerships willing to sell me a car without the "port added options"...the high markup, no value stuff like clear coat protection, fabric protection, etc. It is all BS, extra markup. They just couldn't get the car I was looking for or I would have bought from them. A friend of mine purchased a new Prius a few months ago locally from Cowboy Toyota and was very pleased with his buying experience. The internet manager is, or was, Roland Crenshaw. I have my car serviced at Toyota of Richardson and have been pleased with their service, but it would not be someplace I would shop to buy. Check Edmunds.com for invoice and "TMV" prices to see what similar cars are selling for.
