Best Used Car

Q.I just got dumped with a 1983 Nissan Sentral with 300,000 miles by my parents. It has (as you probably can guess) no airbags or anything else of safety. Its 67 horses that come from its squatty inline 4 don't cut it. Plus, the poor POS is extremely unreliable. Does anybody have any used car suggestions. I was looking at an '83 z but it cost 4,000 which is a little out of my range.

A.I think you can get the most bang for the buck with a Fox body mustang 5.0. Almost any year between around 87 to 93(or whenever they switched to the SN95 body). They are simple, rear wheel drive, parts are cheap and plentiful, and the mechanicals are pretty tough. The best used car for anyone to buy, is the one in the best condition that matches your needs and your ability to pay, IMO.
