Best Value Used Cars

Q.Does anyone know or own a really decent newer model car that runs great gets good mileage and is rated highly. I need to buy a new car but I can only spend between 7-10k and am looking for the best value I can get.

A.My 2000 Honda Accord averages just over 26 mpg (V6 auto) and with over 80k miles, my only expenses have been filters, fluid changes (oil each 5k and once I had both the antifreeze and transmission oil changed) and tire rotation each 20k miles. I'm still running the original tires which will probably last another 10k+ or until I put new ones on for the winter. It's my first Honda, but it's very unlikely it'll be my last. It still runs better and is more quite and smoother running than any of the GM cars I've owned in the past even at 10k. I highly recommend the Accord and I've heard much similar success with their Civics as well. ou are looking at only the extremely cheapest of the cheap for new cars, and even those usually run $9999 at the lowest. You won't be able to afford any kind of new Honda, and I think even the basic Ford Focus is more than 10K. Of the cars you might be able to get: 1) Toyota Echo 2) Nissan Sentra (might be too expensive) 3) Kia Sephia 4) Dodge My real suggestion would be to find another few thousand to get a Honda Civic, and if you can't spend any more money then concentrate on finding a decent used one.
