Book Value For Used Cars

Q.Does anyone know of a jewish organization that will accept donated cars in New England (I live in NW Vermont)? Preferably one that give it to someone who is in need of a car to get to work rather than an organization that will sell it and reap the profit. any info is greatly appreciated.

A.The car is in good shape, but it is old and has a few dents - but still runs great. The blue book value is $4000 - but I doubt we could sell it for more than $2000. Donating the car rather than selling it will also allow us to get a tax break. There is a great organization near us called goodnews garage that repairs used cars and then sells them to needy families for the cost of repairs - but the organization is Lutheran and I think we would rather give the car to a jewish charity
