Buy A Used Car In Florida

Q.After having had not much luck to purchase a 560 SEC in the greater NYC tri-state area (four cars were cosmetically ok but proved to be disasters once on the lift), I am thinking to extend my search into Florida. I have heard that cars of this type are more plentiful in the sunshine state, better maintained and less expensive. Does it make sense to place a wanted ad in the Florida sunday papers?

A.Yes, we do have a considerable number of SLs of all vintages here in South Florida. They are often in better condition than those seen on northern,salty roads. Good ones are not necessarily less costly than their northern kin. Any car of this age should be inspected in close detail. Some established independent MB specialists have such cars for sale. I do not believe that a broadcast newspaper ad will get the job done...IMHO it will only attract lots of interest in your money. I will suggest some folks to check in with should you wish to contact me privately. I have no financial interest in this situation.
