Buying ramcharger

Q.I saw a '84 ramcharger prospector at the local used cars dealer today and very quickly realized that I want this truck. It is in a very nice shape, 88k miles, 318ci engine, part-time 4WD - stealer wants ~$2,300 for it. Is that a reasonable price? What should I look for before I buy this truck?

A.Go to www.kbb.com website and input the information on the vehicle there. Also go to www.carfax.com and run the vin. It cost a few bux to do that. Make sure that it isn't 188K though. I agree with Sean, get a history on it if you can. Sounds pretty good on the surface though. I paid $1,000 for mine (1984 Prospector 2wd 318 ) in 1999, it's only 2wd though. I love it though it pulls my camper and that's it's job so , so far it's the best thou I ever spent.
