anybody ever bought a car online?

Q.I've bought everything online that I can think of except groceries and a car. Even ordered take-out online cuz I could. Anybody ever bought a car online before? Were you happy with how it went? I should have mentioned buying new. I hate buying used cars except from the freshly dead because they weren't really planning on selling so the car's probably still ok. Buying a used car from someone wanting to sell it is odd to me because they're selling it for a reason right?

A.the reasons don't always have anything to do with the car's condition. People want something newer, something different, the car has a painful memory for someone (I've known a couple cases where a car gains an association, to a wife, with a mistress, so it's become "the car goes or I do"), they want something less-expensive in gas mileage, insurance, or payment, they're those wealthy people who buy a new car every year because they can and the new one has newer features... I don't know as I'd buy a used car online without a chance to check it out, mind you. That seems foolhardy. But buying a used car in general isn't necessarily a bad thing. We bought an '86 Thunderbird last year and it's in excellent shape.
