Used Auto Parts ColumbusQ.i have heard that napa makes employees overtime "disappear",plus there were 2 napa employees hurt on the job last year in columbus.napa turned there back on both of them.these actions obviously come from high up in management.they have been sued in indiana for screwing employees out of overtime.i think there gonna go the way of ford and chrysler.why are these corporate people so evil? is all of corporate america like this? Does all this belong to used auto part columbus? A.i worked for napa back in the 80's in columbus.first, you have to know the differance between company owned napa's and indepently owned napa's.you will only find company owned stores in major cities like atlanta,dallas,chicago,columbu... all the small town napa's and indepently owned by what they call "jobbers".it is true napa has been sticking it to there hourly employees for years, but sadly this goes on at every major company in the world, especially in the u.s. people on the outside of napa never hear anything about it.the napa high ups in atlanta hire hatchet men they call district managers, all of these guys make over 300k a year.there sole job is to keep costs down.i have seen many, many napa employees put in over 50 hrs a week and only get paid for 40.napa's answer was if u want the job u will do what youre told and not complain.at least thats how it was in '88 my last year there.i would say 90 percent of the district managers are truly evil, money is there god and they will do anything for that huge check they get.thats why you will notice most of napa's delivery trucks in columbus have bald tires, little or no brakes, old beat up trucks.its really a shame, but they dont want to spend any money.so they will put lives at risk and if someone gets hurt they will blame the person that got hurt.i remember a guy that worked at napa in 1985 that fell off of a ladder at the warehouse because someone bumped into it,he got hurt pretty bad and they fired the guy that got hurt and wouldnt pay his medical.he had to sue them to get any kinda help.it is true they have good parts, but just remember next time you go in there, the avg joe behind the counter is getting treated like a dog.but its not just napa, its any company that has a board of directors, the bottom line is profits and thats all they care about. we're always gonna have greedy, uncaring people in the world, not much you can do about it.
